Being Like Our Lord

 "Beloved, now we are the sons of God, however, it does not yet appear what we shall be. But we know that, when He appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And every man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as He is pure". I John 3:2-3

I look back, I see this hope now. I am no longer defined by anything external to me. Beholding Jesus, I am being transformed into his image. How then to share this good news? Only by the power of the Holy Spirit. Look upon Christ, turn, see who He is. 

This is the discipline I must learn. If I am not looking to Him, interacting with Him through His Word, I am then not becoming like him. The world is not seeing Jesus in my eyes. But if I slow down, just linger for a moment in the garden, when the dew is still on the roses, then He is being formed in my heart.
